Filming, fire and blood
Hi everyone,
Had a quite insane weekend. Filmed a part of my music video on Saturday and it turned into a 22 hour long day. The night before I only had three hours sleep, so I'm still feeling a bit out of rythm.
In the end the shooting went really well but it wasn't with out obstacles.
Jyrki 69, who's playing a part in the music video was coming at 16 pm and we had a lot of scenes to get done before that, so we were kind of in a hurry.
The first thing that happened was that the fire alarm went off because of the smoking machine. I was trying to focus on what I was supposed to do but it was a bit hard when I knew a 1000 euro bill could mess up the budget.
After the small delay it caused, it didn't take long before my sister called me and told me my dad was in the hospital because he managed to hit his head and had to get some stitches and stuff (he's fine now).
I couldn't deny feeling a bit stressed and unfocused, so I decided to use that energy in my performance instead of trying to push it away. It was worked quite well, but the obstacles didn't end.
Soon my mom called me and told me my grandmother and uncle also had to get stitches because, just like dad, they managed to hit their heads too.
The situation started to feel quite unreal and ridiculous and by the time my stunt friend accidently cut his wrist open and soon had stitches as well, I couldn't anything but laugh to myself.
Soon he was back and we could continue the shooting. We finished just before Jyrki showed up. He was nice to work with, did a great job and also gave me some good music advice.
After he left we still had some scenes to do and at 11 pm I was finally home. I felt so happy that the shooting went great even though it had been challenging so I decided to go out and celebrate and didn't get home until 4 am.
I've been taking it easy for two days now but tomorrow the hard work starts again. Have an interview coming up on Voice, the next music video shooting on Saturday and a gig at Tavastia next Wednesday. Things are rolling and life is great!
Cheers,
Jessica Wolff
Ps. I'll put up some more pictures soon
