Music video shootings

Hi everyone,

This time it only took 10 hours to shoot the last parts of the music video. I was a bit nervous for the first scene where I'm driving a motorbike into the picture (Honda of course). It's always a bit tricky in the beginning when you haven't been driving for a year. It's the same with kitesurfing, it takes a day or so.
Usually I start the season on a parking spot and go through the basics just to make sure I still remember everything. I didn't have time to do that before the shooting so I was a bit scared I would damage my friends bike. Fortunately it all went really well
The other scenes also went smoothly. Jyrki 69, who is playing one of the main characters arrived after a few hours. It was very easy to act with him and he did a great job.
Afterwards we all went out celebrating which resulted in a quite a bad head ache next morning, but it was deffinately worth it. I met a lot of new interesting people including a songwriter who wants to help me writing songs. On Wednesday I have a gig in Tavastia at 18:00, hope to see you there!

Cheers,

Jessica

Ps. I'll put up pictures as soon as I get some.

Snake on the radio

 Hi everyone,

Went on a radio interview yesterday on The Voice. They asked me to bring Squischy along and so I did after making sure he was in a "good mood". Snakes are a bit different than dogs and cats. You can't control them or command them to do things, you just have to follow their body language and respect their nature if you want to stay on the safe side.
I never had a problem with Squischy since he happens to have a very kind personality but it's always a risk to bring him along to a photo or video shoot. If he would happen to be hungry or stressed there's nothing to do but to leave him at home.
I had a lot of fun at the interview, especially since the Oku who was interviewing me, had promised the listeners to have Squischy around his shoulders. He was shaking quite a lot and I couldn't help but finding it very amuzing.

Cheers,

Jessica

Interview at Voice tomorrow at 19:00!

Hi everyone,

Had a great singing session today even though I probably sounded like a mix between Lordi and Janis Joplin. Got a flu a couple of days ago, I guess it's because a lack of sleep and the long shooting day last weekend.
Tomorrow I'm having an interview at Radio Voice at 7pm. They want me to bring my snake with me which is quite interesting since he can't speak. I told them not to have any cats and dogs around.

Cheers,

Jessica

Filming, fire and blood

Hi everyone,

Had a quite insane weekend. Filmed a part of my music video on Saturday and it turned into a 22 hour long day. The night before I only had three hours sleep, so I'm still feeling a bit out of rythm.
In the end the shooting went really well but it wasn't with out obstacles.
Jyrki 69, who's playing a part in the music video was coming at 16 pm and we had a lot of scenes to get done before that, so we were kind of in a hurry.
The first thing that happened was that the fire alarm went off because of the smoking machine. I was trying to focus on what I was supposed to do but it was a bit hard when I knew a 1000 euro bill could mess up the budget.
After the small delay it caused, it didn't take long before my sister called me and told me my dad was in the hospital because he managed to hit his head and had to get some stitches and stuff (he's fine now).
I couldn't deny feeling a bit stressed and unfocused, so I decided to use that energy in my performance instead of trying to push it away. It was worked quite well, but the obstacles didn't end.
Soon my mom called me and told me my grandmother and uncle also had to get stitches because, just like dad, they managed to hit their heads too.
The situation started to feel quite unreal and ridiculous and by the time my stunt friend accidently cut his wrist open and soon had stitches as well, I couldn't anything but laugh to myself.
Soon he was back and we could continue the shooting. We finished just before Jyrki showed up. He was nice to work with, did a great job and also gave me some good music advice.
After he left we still had some scenes to do and at 11 pm I was finally home. I felt so happy that the shooting went great even though it had been challenging so I decided to go out and celebrate and didn't get home until 4 am.
I've been taking it easy for two days now but tomorrow the hard work starts again. Have an interview coming up on Voice, the next music video shooting on Saturday and a gig at Tavastia next Wednesday.   Things are rolling and life is great!

Cheers,

Jessica Wolff

Stunt and Eurovision

Hi everyone,

Chilling with my stunt friends and editing a short movie we did today. It was a great day except for when a stunt move went wrong and I hit my head pretty hard. Nothing serious, just pain and a big bump. I don't get hurt often but it's totally worth the risk.
Soon the Eurovision begins, it's gonna be interesting to see how it goes for Finland. Good luck Oscar! I'll keep my thumbs up!

Cheers,

Photo session and snake hugging

Hi everyone,

Today I had an absolutely awesome photo shoot. I hope the pictures turn out as well as it felt.
I only slept for four hours but for some weird reason I had a lot of energy. The photographer and the rest of the crew weren't too exciting about me bringing my pet snake with me.
I always wanted to take a proper picture with him so I thought I might just grab the chance and bring him along.
After a couple of cigarettes the photographer was ready for the first snake shot. At first Squischy seemed a bit confused about the sudden change of enviroment but as soon as I grabbed him he was just as calm as at home.
I did a few different makeup and clothing styles and after 5 hours we were done. After dinner and stunt training I finally reached my home and now I'm more than ready to hit the bed.
Great day!

Cheers,

Jessica

Ps. I'll post some pictures soon!

From sandy beach to cold apartment

Hi everyone,

I'm finally back at home after a very long trip. Today I had a very jetlagged but good meeting with my promoter, photographer and stylist. I have a photo shoot coming up on Thursday and I will bring my snake with me. My flatmate fed him while I was still in Cabarete so he should be in a good mood.

It's a bit tough to be back after chilling under palm trees and not being able to kitesurf anymore, but I can't complain. My battery is reloaded and I have a lot of inspiring things in front of me and once I get rid of the jet lag I'm ready to roll up the sleeves and kick some ass.

Cheers,

Jessica

Travelling

Hi everyone,

Chilling at the airport in London. I've been travelling for 20 hours and still have 6 to go before I'm home after a wonderful trip in the Dominican Republic. Except for a slight hungover after yetserdays goodbye-party and the fact that I found myself at the wrong airport in New York, everything is good. See you soon!

Cheers,

Jessica
